Juno Award Winning artist Mikey Dangerous, is a Jamaican/Canadian Reggae Artist who is exploding on to the international music scene. With a unique and powerful voice, he captivates audiences with his enchanting voice, flow, lyrical finesse and an arsenal of deadly material. His performances and recordings are versatile, ranging from Roots and Culture to club hits.
His voice has been featured on a variety of international hit singles like “Don’t Go Pretending” that won the 2008 JUNO AWARD for Reggae Recording of the Year. In 2009 he was nominated for Revelation of the Year at Gala SOBA (Sounds of Blackness Awards), as well a nomination for Top Dancehall DeeJay at the Canadian Reggae Music Awards. He blazed up the stage on the same bill as major reggae artists like Maxi Priest and Beres Hammond and hip hop artists like Ciara, Lil JON and Ying Yang. He toured with popular hip hop acts like The Beatnuts and collaborated with artists such as platinum selling hip hop group Dubmatique.
Quicksound contacted his management MB Music & Artist Management in early 2013 to set up a collaboration for the musical score to the feature film “La Ferme Des Humains”. The result is the single “Life Rough”, a deep meditation on the challenges faced by immigrants struggling to get by in their new countries. The film should be released in Fall 2013. Quicksound looks forward to producing more tracks with Mikey Dangerous in the near future!
